Amaranth RedIt is a very tall and beautiful plant, which literally any plot is able to decorate. The culture itself is one year old, but it can be grown by self-employment.
In height, amaranth in nutritious soil with sufficient moisture can reach two and sometimes three meters. The unusual characteristics of Amaranth are associated with the fleshy stem and large leaf blades, which in addition to the usual green color can be painted in violet and bright red shades.

StrawflowerThe genus helichrysum includes more than 500 species distributed almost all over the world. Many are grown as ornamentals. In Greece there are about ten species. It is found mainly in the regions of the Prefecture of Preveza, Thesprotia Prefecture and the Ionian Islands.
Its flowers are small yellow and its stem is thin. When dried, the plant keeps its shape and the tops of the flowers their yellow color, which is why they are also called “immortal” or “amaranth”.

AlyssumThe Alyssum is an annual flowering plant, of low growth, with small lanceolate leaves of light green color and many small flowers of white, pink or purple color. The Alyssum has abundant and prolonged flowering that lasts from early spring to late autumn. It is an ideal plant for shallow pots and planters, but also for the garden in cluster planting, in rock gardens, for ground cover or for a low flowering border. The Alyssum gr ws best in sunny or semi-shady positions and is resistant to both high and low temperatures. The ideal temperature for the development of the Alyssum is from 16 to 24°C. The Alyssum has no particular requirements regarding the soil, it grows easily even in coastal areas, as long as we choose sunny parts of the garden. The Alyssum is propagated by seeds that can be sown directly in the planting site in March to ensure abundant summer flowering.
Aquilegia
AquilegiaAquilegia (Aquilegia vulgaris, Ranunculaceae) is a very beautiful ornamental plant native to southern Europe. We find it in many regions of Greece, from Crete to Macedonia, beautifying the Greek nature with its wonderful flowers. Aquilegia is a genus of over 20 perennial plants and belongs to the Ranunculaceae family.
In our country it is cultivated as a perennial plant and the most widespread species is Aquilegia vulgaris. We meet her under the names Colombina and Bride of the Hills. It is a plant that is also used for scavenging.
Aquilegia belongs to the Ranunculaceae family and includes over twenty perennial plants. There are dwarf varieties up to 20cm and bushy varieties up to 1.20cm. In Greece, Aquilegia is cultivated as a perennial plant, mainly the vulgaris variety. The flowers are impressive. Columbine produces double flowers in a variety of shades of red, violet white and striking blue that rise up to 30cm higher than the foliage. The flowering period is from June to October.
