Kochia
KochiaKochia venicum (Kochia scoparia) is one of the 80 species of kochia found in the warm regions of Eurasia. Its appearance resembles a small coniferous tree.
In XVII century after careful selection was introduced in the form of garden cultivation called kohiey volosolistnoy (Kochia scoparia var. Trichophylla). This thin, plant silnovetvistoe up to a meter and a width up to long, graceful narrow leaves 50-70 cm, densely covering the entire plant, and almost imperceptibly hiding flowers and fruitlets. The world has no special soil requirements and thrives in even the driest and barren soils as long as they have good drainage.
Cleome
CleomeCleome, or cleome, is a flowering plant that belongs to the Cleomaceae family. Such a plant is either annual or biennial. In nature, it is found in any corner of the Earth, in those areas where there is a temperate and warm climate. This genus unites about 70 species. Cleoma inflorescences have a special shape, so the Germans call it “spinenpflanze”, which translates as “spider plant”. Raceme inflorescences are not very common, they can be compared to a splash of champagne or an explosion. Some people may not like such flowers, but it is simply impossible to leave them unattended. Every year, such a flower crop attracts the attention of gardeners more and more, because it has very spectacular inflorescences with an unusual smell, and its flowering is quite long, it is observed from June to September.
Centaurea
CentaureaThe beautiful Centaurea plant, which we will talk about today, is named after the famous Centaur Chiron, teacher of Asclepius, but also of Apollo, Achilles and Jason. In the Titanomachy, Chiron sided with Heracles against the Centaurs, but he accidentally wounded him with an arrow laced with the poison of the Lernaean Hydra. Then Chiron used the Centaur as a healing agent and healed his wound.
Centaurea is a herbaceous resistant plant endemic to many countries in Europe and North America and belongs to the daisy family.
