Lilac, the characteristics and needs of the plant!

Lilac is a deciduous shrub with a maximum height of 4.5 m. It blooms in the spring with numerous intensely fragrant flowers in purple colors.

Lilac requires sunny positions and shows high resistance to low temperatures. It has moderate water requirements. Light pruning is done during the winter, removing dry and broken branches. In the summer we remove the offshoots it creates. Suitable planting season is spring and autumn.
