Pansy
Pansies grow best and give us abundant flowering when planted in bright spots. They are resistant to low temperatures but are sensitive to heat and intense midday sunshine. That is why during the summer, their flowering is considerably reduced. To plant pansies in a pot on a balcony, we choose points with a south or west orientation. We can keep them for a few days even inside the house, as long as we place them in a bright place near a window. Pansies are an excellent choice for planting in pots and planters.
Pansies have a superficial root system and need regular watering to ensure vigorous growth and abundant flowering. For example, we water twice a week during the spring and autumn seasons and every 2 days during the hot summer season. In any case, we repeat the watering as soon as the soil dries, checking the humidity at a depth of 2-3 centimeters from the surface. The dense vegetation and the wonderful color combinations are perfectly suited to add color to our yard and balcony. For planting pansies, we choose relatively low pots or planters with a height of 15-20 cm and a large diameter to fit as many plants as we want. At the base of the pot, we place a layer of gravel or pebbles to ensure better water drainage.
