Bougainvillea
Bougainvillea is a climbing plant that originates from South America. The bract leaves that surround its flowers are the spectacular part of the plant. Bract leaves vary in colors (white, red, fuchsia). It grows in warm regions and can be grown like a pot plant, with a suitable topping to maintain its bushy appearance like a small tree. It requires very intense lighting and needs a sunny place.
We prune the plant in early spring, after the frost has passed. Dilute the waterings after pruning. Bougainvillea is propagated by shoot cuttings mainly in the summer.
